I thank God that He allowed me to attend Oceania Convention OC2015 – Harvest. He used this OC to change my perspective and reignite my love for Him and His people.

I do have a personal relationship with God. However, over the last few years, my priority has been placed on careers and studies over God. I spent the majority of my time building career in order to secure a better future. Despite my leaders and mentor’s encouragement, I found myself struggling in loving people and having passion for the lost.  I did not have the heart for it, and my security has been placed on what is tangible.

Early April, I went to OC without much expectation of what God was about to do in my life. I treat it as just another OC. I never thought that God would use this event to change my life. During the last session, Ps Wilson shared about sustaining the harvest and he mentioned the unfavourable situation of the community pharmacy industry. Despite the difficult situation, he encouraged us to use this as an opportunity to shine His light in the marketplace. Pastor’s sharing really spoke to my heart, and I believe the Holy Spirit has convicted me that He has a purpose for me at where I am. I felt there was a fire burning inside my heart, and I know that He has given me a specific purpose and a mission for the lost.

Prophetic words given to me at OC aligned with what God has convicted within my heart about being strong and courageous, knowing that God has called me to take up more for His Kingdom’s sake.

Through the convention, God has renewed my vision and purpose in living this life for Him, and being a faithful and passionate harvester for His Kingdom.

As a member of this local church, I commit myself to making disciples and sharing the Gospel whenever and wherever I can. I desire to help my life group grow stronger in God to impact many others in a greater way.

As a pharmacist, God has given me a growing desire to be His salt and light in my workplace, seeking more opportunities to share Christ’s love to my customers and colleagues. This is where my harvest field is. I am committed to live it out for Him. I am looking forward to all the great things He has prepared for me to do, in me and through me.

I would like to encourage us with Matthew 9:35-38, “Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.’”
