CAP Sunday
In Australia, we’re in the middle of a cost of living crisis with many people feeling alone in financial distress. On any given day, more than half a million households are struggling to put food on the table. Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is a Christian charity that exists to equip a movement of churches to walk alongside those in financial distress, while confidently proclaiming Jesus.
Join us this Sunday at Willawong as we hear from CAP Australia CEO Rosie Kendall how we can help struggling people go from alone to connected. Rosie is the CEO of CAP Australia and has been working for CAP both here and in the UK for 13 years. She loves the church and seeing the bride of Christ respond to Jesus’ call to serve and include the poor. She is passionate about equipping others to flourish in all that God has created them to be. Rosie’s husband Dave also works at CAP and they have three beautiful daughters, Esther, Lydia and Maeve.
Speaking at St Lucia this Sunday is Sam Street. Sam has worked at CAP Australia for 5 years and is part of the Church Partnerships team. Prior to CAP he served as a missionary for 15 years with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in both Australia and Russia. Sam is married to Erin and they have 4 lovely children aged 8 and younger. Sam loves being outdoors, playing sport and going on adventures
