Recently, we had the privilege of receiving the sustainability grant from the Brisbane City Council (BCC). This made it possible for us to invest in the facility. A big shout out to BCC for making this possible!
As we utilise the funding given to us by BCC, we were able to conduct an energy audit. According to the review, this building has already adopted numerous effective energy efficiency measures. Some essential low-cost recommendations can be adapted to improve the building’s energy performance such as adding anti-fouling additives in the refrigerant line of the Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV), installation of LED lighting in the office and implementing an energy monitoring and management system among many other recommendations.
This audit report has provided us with an excellent foundation to begin our research to determine the best measure to reduce our energy usage. Hence, developing a greener community with a reduced carbon footprint.
