At the beginning of this year, I started to experience pain in my left shoulder. I was not sure if it was a result of physical activity or bad posture. It was so painful to a point where I cannot lift up my left arm. I went to see a doctor, and he told me to get an ultrasound to see what was wrong. I did the ultrasound, and the results revealed that I had an inflammation in my muscle. The doctor gave me two options, take medication or use injections to ease the pain. I did not like the idea of needles, so I asked the doctor to prescribe me medication. I took the medication, but it did not seem to make any difference. I decided to give my left arm regular stretches. I did this for a few weeks; however, the pain still did not go away. It was difficult at times when I wanted to lift things using my left arm, especially when I raised it up more than 90 degrees. I did not want to go to the doctor to get an injection because I was fearful of the potential side effects. I prayed to God and asked Him to take the pain away. Although I still suffered pain from lifting my arm up, I managed to do my daily activities with no problems.
Amazingly during the Worship Night when there was a prayer for healing, Pastor Torch Leung called for someone with pain in the left arm. Without hesitation, I raise my hand up to respond. I was invited to the front of the auditorium and was prayed for by the leaders. After the prayer, I tried lifting up my left arm. Praise God I was healed! I can now lift it up with no pain. All glory to Jesus because He can heal in His timing and in unexpected ways.
I hope my story will encourage everyone to continue to trust God through the power of worship!
