PRAYER & PRAISE
We believe in the power of prayer and also in rejoicing together. We have a team of intercessors who have availed themselves to pray on behalf of others in various seasons of need. We thank God for His miraculous intervention on many occasions.
PRAYER & PRAISE

Corporate Prayer

Whilst having a personal prayer life is vital to develop our own relationship with God. there is also a communal aspect of prayer where we grow in fellowship with God as a spiritual family. Corporate prayer is praying together in small groups or in larger bodies of people. It is a vital part of life in the church.

Encounter Nights are held every 4th Tuesday of the month online and in-person at Unidus Community Centre starting at 7:30pm. Join us for a night of worship and prayer.

PRAYER & PRAISE

Significance of Corporate Prayer

Acts 2:42, “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”

The early church modelled the priority of praying together. They prayed together in the temple and in their homes, when they were sick, when they were filled with the Spirit, and in times of persecution. Let us not neglect the most vital work that undergirds everything that we do.

PRAYER & PRAISE

Benefits of Corporate Prayer

Acts 2:42, “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”

1) It grows our fellowship as a church. It helps us to discover that our lives as believers of Christ are tied up with one another’s, not only about me and my relationship with God. We learn to share in each other burdens and joy. It helps us to discover how God cares for the church as an entity.

2) It is powerful. God comes by invitation and He comes through praises of His people (Psalm 22:3). There is no better place to experience the manifest presence of God than being in a corporate setting. We then are able to start sensing what God truly wants to do as He guides and directs our prayers.

As we align to God’s will, we are able to pray powerful prayers because we come in agreement and unity in one accord (Matthew 18:19). God hears and answers the prayers of the righteous.

3) It grows our personal prayer life.We actually learn how to pray by listening to the prayers of others. Jesus taught his disciples to pray by giving them an example (Matthew 6:9-13). The more time we spent in praying, the more we see our lives being transformed as God grows the passion and a stronger desire to pray!
