Calling yourself a Christian and living as a Christian is two very different things. At times, we can go through the motions and let ourselves go on autopilot. I have my fair share of struggles and also times where I doubted God, throughout my Christian journey. My faith was shaken, and I started to draw away from God. However, I would be in church, but my heart was definitely not in it.
I did not think too much of it, but by God’s grace, I chose Brisbane to further my studies. Few days past, my parents told me that Kengii is studying in Brisbane as well, but I was very reluctant to reach out to him because I knew I would be forced to go to church. One day, Kengii asked me to join his life group on one of the Friday. I thought to myself, it is not a church, so why not just give it a go. With my awesome life group’s warm welcoming, I started attending life group and church more often. Slowly but surely realising that God has been there the whole time even though I stopped attending church, God still loves me through all my sins, and I just have to repent of it. My love for God has been stronger than I ever had before, and I have never missed church ever again. I am really grateful that God has placed my lovely life group into my life and being my second family. With Sunday Services as well, I am just very grateful for them because it has been a beneficial tool to grow in faith. I appreciate the pastors speaking about relatable topics for university students, which is very refreshing for me. I can honestly say my life has been totally transformed for the better through life group and church.

An encouraging message to leave behind is God loves you no matter what you did in the past. Let’s learn to let go of our past, repent and ask for forgiveness from God. Moreover, God works miraculously, and we as a follower of Jesus Christ have to have faith in Him.
Hebrews 12:1-2, “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
